From 5 February to 2 March al markhiya gallery, Doha will exhibit “Grafik”, a show featuring artists Ahmed Nawar, Rafa al Nasiri, Medhat Nasr and Modhir Ahmed. “Grafik” presents the work of two generations of four of the most important graphic artists in the Middle East today.
The first generation is represented by Ahmed Nawar (Egypt) and Rafa al Nasiri (Iraq) presenting artworks using a silkscreen method albeit creating vastly different compositions.The second generation is represented by Medhat Nasr (Egypt) and Modhir Ahmed (Iraq) who created pieces using mixed media. Both artists, like Nawar and al Nasiri, have chosen very distinct styles. Through “Grafik” viewers will be introduced the diversity of graphic arts in the region.
