Dr. Abdul Rahman Fakhro, president of Bahrain Cancer Society stated that

February 4, 2013- is the World Cancer Day- and considered to be a day in which the entire world can unite in the fight against the global cancer epidemic. World Cancer Day 2013 encourages the public to take a stand and to be proactive in helping reduce premature deaths from cancer”.

Commenting on the exhibition, Dr. Omar Al Mardi, Managing Director of BFH said,

“We are pleased to collaborate with the Bahrain Cancer Society and support them with this important exhibition. We understand the importance of raising awareness of this disease and hope that this will be the first of many collaborative initiatives between the BCS and the Financial Harbour as we are keen to support the fight against cancer.”

Rafa Nasiri is a renowned contemporary Iraqi painter, known for his “cosmicscapes” whereby he merges abstraction with Arabic calligraphy and other elements of his culture. Mr. Nasiri studied painting in Iraq and then went on to study Graphic art in China and Portugal.
