The Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh

The idea of Biennale was born in 1976 through a number of pioneer artists and academics at the Academy (Hlbakala SHILPAKALA ACADEMY) Art in Dhaka. The first Biennale was in Bangladesh in 1982, in the headquarters of the Academy in Dhaka. It was attended by a large number of Asian countries at the time. It was a real success and shown lots of enthusiasm by the participants and those interested in the arts. It was a challenge to continue this biennale which is held every two years and to monitor the reception of the cash prizes for artists that are distributed through awards and shields for the artists and the participants in the gala dinner held in high-end hotels in Dhaka. And the Biennale continued its work which was  in various places distributed in the headquarters of the Academic galleries and some galleries in Dhaka. It continued to be held up and did not stop or interrupted its work  over the last thirty years and the evolution of remarkable work which suffered desirability by everyone and got all the support and backing of friendly and neighboring countries who have shared key from the start. Even the Biennale No. 15 in 2012 became the Biennale Dhaka fame and reputation in artistic circles and known for his technical higher level and good organization and numbers where the winning works are chosen by an international jury with a good reputation, experience and knowledge in the arts who are fine professors, artists, critics, analysts and academics. Today, Biennale is in the permanent base at the Academy of Hlbakala of Art, which was constructed specifically for this purpose and has been displaying it since the past two years. A big building Academy consisting of three floors and includes 4 showrooms, a lecture room, a separate theater, facilities management and an external garden and yard to expose works of art that need space, welcoming sculptures and synthetic work.

If we look at the Biennale today, we will find it a meeting point for many Asian and Arab artists as administration insists on hosting artists from countries that used to participate with them in each session to meet them and regain memories and learn about the most important developments in their findings and discoveries in their production and artwork. For them to compare and discuss about what is the most important. In the Chilean movement occurred many changes and additional artistic, intellectual, cultural seminars, lectures, visits and meetings within the program prepared in advance for this purpose. The management of Biennale insured expenses for accommodation, meals and transportation as well as visits and other art events and cultural as a printed Luxury booklet including most of the participating artists from all States, and striking attention regulators Biennale and their determination to provide all means of comfort and reassurance to the participants through the warm reception and hospitality, good treatment and a warm welcome by providing immediate assistance to all participants by being escorted by university students and volunteers who accompany the delegations during their time at the Biennale event and by guiding them and answering their questions in whatever they need.

In conclusion, the days passed fast as time elapses at a blink of an eye between galleries and lecture halls and visits to places of various events and stray memory filled events of this Biennale. Many of the photos and a lot of places and persons in their own different cultures and traditional clothes and their art that reflect the civilized face of their country. All of these things are mixed in the form of techniques and were once collected as part of the Biennale Bangladesh Asian Art in Dhaka.
