‘Natural, Political, Poetic and Unpredictable – Mirrored Lines & Curves’

The world’s natural and political boundary lines been cut out of 3mm birch veneer, they are then cut into 164 pieces, where after being rolled in ink and randomly placed in a circular frame, and printed. Then again used as the basis for a range of varying prints. The frame measures 150 cm in diameter and the paper sheets size is 240 x 240 cm. The intention is later to put the pieces together in new unpredictable ways, creating a number of new world maps – so to speak, new world orders. Thus are all the pieces to consider as the content of a type case in the print shop. Photos from the workshop in Nees: Johanne Havskov Thygesen, Karen Havskov Jensen and Klavs Weiss
