Combined Art at Bahrain F1 Grand Prix

MANAMA, BAHRAIN. The 2013 Formula 1™ Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix held at the Bahrain International Circuit last month presented Coleccion Gomez a unique exhibition of hand painted bonnets of Porsche 911 GT2 supercars created by 19 celebrated artists from Uruguay and Argentina in various styles and materials ranging from acrylic to enamel and from mosaic tiles to tire rubber.

Coleccion Gomez is the brainchild of Argentinian businessman Jorge Gómez, who himself flew to Bahrain with Omar Panosetti, one of Argentina’s established contemporary artist who painted on-the-spot a quasi-cityscape of Bahrain on a new bonnet to add to the collection.
