3Grafik exhibition inaugurated by Staffan Nilsson

Falun, Sweden- Staffan Nilsson, chairman of the Cultural Board in Falun opened the 3Grafik exhibition on the 23rd of February in Dalarnas museum. The opening of 3Grafik, an exhibition of school children’s print in woodcut, linocut and drypoint from Falun, Lublin and Zakho was also attended by other culture officials, artists and art enthusiast.
A ‘talk’ on the importance of children’s art was lead by representatives of the three participating towns namely Modhir Ahmed from Falun, Sweden, Magdalena Ciezak from Lublin, Poland and again Modhir Ahmed spoke on behalf of Awni Sami from Zakho, Kurdistan Iraq who unfortunately couldn’t make it to the opening.
During the exhibition a workshop open for children and adults working with print was conducted by Anna Cari Jadlen and Hilda Lindström. The exhibition will go to Cracow, Poland this year and to Kurdistan 2014.
