He was born in 1947. In 1972 he graduated from PWSSP (National University of Art) in Poznan. Since 1974 he has been working at this university.
When he was a chancellor (1990-1996) the school changed its name to Art Academy. He was chosen again to perform his duties as a chancellor for two tenures from 2002 to 2005 and from 2005 to 2008. He deals with graphics, stage design and open-air actions. In the 70s he was the leader of an Art Group ‘Od Nowa’ (‘From the Beginning’) which organized several dozen of huge open-air performances. While creating his graphics he uses his own techniques based on photography, light projection, video record and offset print. By annexing the space, the light and the sound he creates para-theatrical compositions. He has organized more than 50 individual exhibitions in Poland as well as abroad and has taken part in hundreds of collective shows. Professor.
