Professor of art; he graduated from Arts Academy in Warsaw; a full
professor. From 1999 to 2005 he was a dean of Lublin’s UMCS’s Arts Department. He was also one of the creators of Arts Collegiums in Kazimierz Dolny. He is a member of ZPAP (Society of Polish Artists), International Association of Graphics Artists Triennale in Cracow, Kresowa Akademia Smaku (Borderland Academy of Taste). He was an exhibition organizer of International Triennale of Art Majdanek 1997, 2000, 2004 as well as Graphics Artists’ meetings in Kazimierz Dolny. His graphics are characterized by technique perfection and sophisticated form. His subjects are people and generally speaking the world of humanistic values. In his works he combines the experience of the traditional graphics and new possibilities of the computer one. Author has as many as 28 individual exhibitions in his output. He has also taken part in over 400 collective shows. He is also a prizewinner of 19 events and he has been awarded with many honors in graphics competitions (9 international and 5 all- Poland). Among many others
he was awarded with: 1987 Excellent Work Prize – The 55 Exhibition of the Japan Print Association, The Hanga Annual 1987, Tokyo, Japan; 1988 Ex Equo Prize – 2 International Arts Triennale Majdanek 1988; 1993 – Sponsor Prize – The 2nd Sapporo International Print Biennale, Sapporo, Japan, 1994- Grand Prix – The 9th Seoul International Print Biennale, Seoul, Korea; 1997 Sponsor Prize Intergrafia’97 – International Exhibition of Prizewinners, Katowice. He was honored with the Silver Medal Gloria Artis.
